How much does it cost to have a website made for me or my business?
It depends on what you want included on your website. Because no two websites are identical we believe it is best to judge each website individually so that we can give you exactly what you are looking for on your website. This eliminates any restrictions that you may come across dealing with companies that give you a fixed price without having any prior knowledge as to what you want included on your website.

Once my website is complete who will make changes and maintain it?

This situation can be handled in many different ways. If you or someone in your company is familiar and comfortable with web design and coding practices we will give you a FTP login to your website and you can maintain your website yourself.

At McDarmont Web Design we offer 1 hour of free updates and changes per month on any website that we have designed or re-designed. Once that hour of free has been reached all additional changes and updates will be made at an hourly fee. We also offer our clients who are anticipating a large amount of changes the ability to purchase a yearly maintenance package where all updates and changes are covered regardless of time required to make those changes.

An additional solution would be for McDarmont Web Design to put your website on a content management system such as Joomla or Drupal. Having your website on a content management system allows for the client to have access to an online backend of the website that allows them to make changes and updates without having any knowledge of web programming. The software is as easy to use as a program such as Microsoft Word.

How often will I need to make a payment for my website?
McDarmont Web Design offers 3 different payment options. They are:

How much does the domain name cost and where will the website be hosted?
We purchase our domain names from GoDaddy.com and we charge our clients the same price we pay to GoDaddy to register the domain. Once the domain name is purchased if the client does not already have a hosting server set up we can host the website on our server for the affordable price of only $30.00 per month. Payments made one year in advance for hosting receive a 10% discount.

Can I get a customized email to go along with my domain name?
Yes. You can have your own personalized email account to go with your domain name. (i.e. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). The first three email accounts that come with each website are FREE.

I already have a website but it could use some updating and additions. Can McDarmont Web Design help me out?
Yes. We can help you either add on to or change your current website or we can go in and give your website a fresh new look and feel to better show off what your website has to offer

I have some audio and video on file. Can that be edited and added to my website or burned to a DVD?
Of course. We will use our state of the art software to edit and optimize your audio and video files to be viewed on either your website or burned to a DVD for your personal use.

Yes we can configure a website for you that will allow to sell any type of products you desire with any payment processor you desire.(Ex. PayPal, Google Checkout, Authorize.net)

At McDarmont Web Design we develop your website to look and function based on your wants and needs. If you want your website to look and function a certain way then we WILL make sure you have it that way.

Website Content Management System
A content management system can be set up on your website that will allow you to manage and update your website on your own without any web knowledge needed. You would be given a backend log-in page (i.e. www.yourdomainname.com/administrator) with a user name and password to log-in to the content management system. From there you will be able to make changes and updates to your website on software that is as simple as using Microsoft Word. When your website has a content management system included McDarmont Web Design will offer tutorial sessions to as many users as needed to teach them how to use the system.

Website Maintenance
Once your website is up and running there may need to be additions or changes to the site. All clients of McDarmont Web Design receive one FREE hour of maintenance each month. All maintenance thereafter will be billed at an hourly rate. Clients who anticipate a large amount of maintenance may purchase a fixed fee maintenance package that will cover all maintenance on the website for one year.

Website Redesign
Do you already have a website but are unsatisfied with the content or overall design? If this is the case then we can work with you to take your website to a new level so you can be comfortable and confident with your website.

Video Marketing
We will build your campaign around well-produced video messages, followed by comprehensive maximization of exposure through Social Media campaigns.  In most cases, that will include some design, public relations, social community management, short-term and long-term campaigns and promotions, social aggregation, analytics and reporting.

Affordable Hosting
If you have your website developed by McDarmont Web Design we offer an extremely affordable hosting package that includes seven day backups, high volumes of storage space and bandwidth.

About McDarmont Web Design

History

McDarmont Web Design was started in 2005 by Brad McDarmont. At the time, McDarmont was a student at Radford University and looking to make some extra money to help pay for his college expenses. However, over the course of the next few years Brad realized his calling was in the field of Web Development. After graduation, McDarmont decided to pursue McDarmont Web Design on a full-time basis. Since then, McDarmont Web Design has grown to become a quality and reliable web development business that allows for customers to have their websites the way they want them at a price they can afford. McDarmont Web Design currently serves over 70 clients ranging from Southside Virginia and the North Carolina Triangle to as far away California and New York.
